The Pix rise at nightfall, their swinging tail serving as a constant beacon for any wandering traveler and prey. Like its other kind, the Pix floats around much quieter grounds, only ever found on the grass when the sun is about to rise. Its appearance–though graceful and alluring–may be deceptive, especially for the small unsuspecting prey. Distracted by the wandering light, many would find themselves too enamored to even notice the sharpness of its tail, which happens to be Pix's main source of defense. However, while it has the ability to hurt and cut, it may not be strong enough to pierce through something as hard as wood. During the day, the Pix will burrow itself in a small hole in the ground to mask its scent from any hunting predators. Collectors and hunters who have seen a bowl-shaped “mushroom” lying around with two crests adjacent to one another may have already spotted an Pix in its resting space.
