The Wadell resides in the Northern mountains and shorelines, traveling in large colonies. While a few Wadells may be spotted swimming around the shoreline, most of them prefer the wide space offered on the elevated ground–away from the hungry gazes of predators and hunters. They have grown quite accustomed to the cold temperature, and are also generally very fast swimmers. Their interesting swimming patterns could outmaneuver their predators, and their sharp breaks could break through any nets thrown at them. Their ability to maneuver through the harsh waves makes them excellent fishers–a fisherman’s best friend, as many would say in agreement. The Lightning Wadell is the most recognizable of its kind, given its startling shade. While it does like the cold, this kind of Wadell does enjoy the warmth ever so often. However, it is also known to be more violent. Its beak is sharp enough to pierce through the skin which might even leave an infection afterward. The Lightning Wadell sheds far more than the rest of its kind, its feathers being used for blankets, cushions, and the like.
