Rarely moving around, the swarm of Tydrews populates the deeper trenches of the ocean, waiting for their next victim. Instead of hunting down their prey, they simply attract the prey through their almost luminous glow. Unsuspecting water Venari would swim through the streams of colors and glitz, too distracted to even feel the electric currents shooting directly through their systems. Before they know it, the Tydrew have already rendered them unconscious and have already begun the consumption process. If a larger predator were to pass by, the swarm would unanimously and repetitively emit electric charges and share their winnings with each other. Their cap would expand with every release of electricity, revealing its piercing eyes and pointy ears beyond the translucent cover-up. While most of its kind release their electric currents voluntarily, the Lightning Tydrew wouldn’t be able to help it. When its body wouldn’t be able to keep it in them, they release an electric charge so powerful that it could render any Venari from a meter away, lifeless. The electricity also lingers for the next few days, before it’s reinvigorated by another shot of it. Being the strongest member of the swarm, the Lightning Tydrew acts as their queen–swimming at the center of every swarm. However, while incredibly dangerous, the electrocuted area had been said to be useful for patients undergoing electrotherapy, and as such, many expeditions had formed to retrieve said “water”.
